The members of the American Southern Insurance Company group of companies listed at the end of this Notice (the “American Southern Insurance Group”) respect you and your right to privacy.  We value your trust, and we want you to know about our policies and procedures for protecting the privacy of your nonpublic personal information that we collect in connection with our insurance products and services and your rights and responsibilities regarding such information.  The following Notice describes our policies and practices regarding your nonpublic personal information in our records.  We reserve the right to modify or supplement our privacy policy at any time in accordance with applicable law.  If we make material changes to our privacy policy, we will provide you with a copy of a revised Notice as required by applicable law. 

 I.  What Categories of Information We Collect About You

We collect nonpublic personal information about you as a current customer and about former customers of ours from the following sources:

·         Information that we receive directly from you or your insurance representative, such as your name, address and telephone number;

·         Information about your transactions with us and/or our affiliates, such as payment history, underwriting and claim information;

·         Information about your transactions with nonaffiliated third parties, such as an adjuster or automobile repair shop; and

·         Information that we receive from consumer reporting agencies, such as your driving record and claim history.

·         Information that we receive when you interact with our Web Sites.

 II.  What We Do With Information We Collect About You

We do not sell any of our customer’s information but may disclose the information about you to our affiliates and use that information for the purposes relating to issuing and servicing our insurance policies.  Generally, we will not disclose the information about you in our records to any organization not affiliated with the American Southern Insurance Group without your prior authorization.  However, as required or permitted by law, we may disclose your information in our records to nonaffiliated third parties.

III.  Who Has Access To Your Information In Our Records

We currently use a system of passwords and other appropriate physical, electronic and procedural safeguards designed to protect against unauthorized access to your nonpublic personal information contained in our records.  Access to your information is restricted to those employees who need to know the information to provide products or services to you.  We will educate our employees about the terms of this Notice and the importance of confidentiality and consumer privacy.  Employees who gain unauthorized access to our customers' nonpublic information in our records or otherwise violate our privacy policies will be appropriately disciplined.

 IV.  How You Can Review The Information We Have About You 

You have the right to review and receive a copy of your personal information in our records.  If you believe any information in our records is incorrect, you may request in writing that the information be amended, corrected or deleted.  We will investigate and correct the information you believe is incorrect if we can substantiate the error.  If we do not correct the information, you have the right to file with us a written statement of dispute, which we will include in any future disclosure of that information by us.
